‘No time to die.’  No not the title of the recent Bond movie.

Time now for us to put up a united front.  Let’s discuss in a video conference to strategize our next move.  A Zoom meeting will help collaborate to decide our next course of action!  Participants with a dress code for Zoom praised each other for the variations in their appearance, nevertheless the same end result!

“Remember we have travelled all over the world into some 150+ countries, and this is no time to accept defeat and lose our battle.”

“Even WHO believes that if we come together, we can mate and mutate while there is every effort from authorities to mitigate the risks that we pose them.”

“Listen Omicron, you’ve brought our might down…you are a weakling?!  Why did you lose your potency after you invaded the human body to make them sick? They are calling us a flu virus!”

“Why do you have to be jealous about my potency?  I doubled much faster than you and I am the headline news world over.  If you will, I’m the new hero.  Time to recognize alongside my brother sub-variant BA.2 who has threatened them yet again in China, Hong Kong, etc.?”

“IHU you as a mutated virus got reported in France.  What are the chances of your survival and spread around EU?  Do you have the wherewithal?”

The preamble to this meeting was a WhatsApp group message to all variants currently active around the world.  The cocktail variant Delmicron was in the group but was not a happy camper given it’s borrowed existence and hence was keen to fight for its own standing.

Delta variant assumed leadership as the ‘father of the variant,’ as an undisputed leader.  He yelled – “Omicron, you are now the dominant variant and sidestepped me, it is better all postings go from your account.  You are now considerably more rampant.”

Let us write down our Ten Commandments.

The end goal was simple and straight-forward.  Not keen to let out the full secret, released only a few to create a scare.

# A major chunk of people in western hemisphere are unvaccinated and are moving around oblivious to our presence.  Let us go get them…

# Look at the ones without the mask, it’s just easy to catch them…

# Hey Omicron, you are already there!  Spare the old and the young but don’t spare the callous attitude of those who want to enjoy when we are still around…

# Hey IHU, no one seems to be caring enough about you.  Do you want to push a few buttons, so your name sounds terror?

# Vaccine distribution has not been done in a democratic manner.  The poor countries are hardly vaccinated, while the so-called rich countries have hoarded, and many citizens stuck to their ‘no jab’ stand!  Do we have some entry points keeping these in mind?

India went ahead with elections; they have ignored us.  A quick glance will tell you that they don’t acknowledge our threat.  What should be our next move to make inroads?

Delta quipped that they need to thank their originator for bringing them this fame, pomp and splendour.  Felt dismayed though given own existence being under jeopardy. 

Our enemies are the vaccines and people who follow the guidelines at a much broader level.  We need a new strategy to mutate to pose further threat to the vaccine efficacy.  Be assured these human beings will continue to be careless and lethargic, as well as filled with pride and pompous.  They will continue to fight among themselves – look at Russia’s inhuman attack on its neighbour Ukraine.  We have umpteen doors open to make inroads.
